Motorcycle Rider Injured in Crash on Ventura 101 Freeway
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. (August 9, 2022) — A motorcycle accident on the Ventura (101) Freeway happened Tuesday morning near Woodman Avenue in Sherman Oaks.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes about 7:23 a.m. on August 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the motorcycle rider went down near the center divider after a collision with a white Kia and a gray 2002 Toyota Corolla sedan. The rider went down in the No. 1 lane and was bleeding from the head, the report said.
Meanwhile, the driver in the Toyota kept driving and was last seen heading northbound on the 101, just north of White Oak, the report said. A witness gave the suspect’s license plate number to the CHP dispatch operator.
Meanwhile, paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene to help the injured motorcyclist.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
