Motorcyclist Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 5 Freeway
BURBANK, Calif. (Feb. 13, 2024) — A motorcycle rider and several cars were involved in a crash Tuesday on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of North Hollywood Way in Burbank.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound I-5 at around 9:49 a.m. on Feb. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the “motorcycle rider flew off the bike” after the collision involving a black Nissan Altima and a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. The motorcyclist was “awake and talking” in the HOV lane of the freeway.
The Burbank Fire Department responded to help the injured motorcycle rider as well as anyone else hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle and the Nissan were both towed from the freeway.
CHP Traffic investigators are working to determine fault for the Burbank crash on the 5 Freeway.
