Motorcyclist Hurt in Traffic Accident on Madison Avenue
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (May 24, 2022) — A motorcycle crash on Madison Avenue happened Tuesday morning near Polk Street in the North Highlands area.
The collision occurred about 11:40 a.m. on May 24th, near the Madison West Business Park center, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a motorcycle rider collided with a Mazda due to unknown circumstances. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly drove away, but later returned to the crash scene, the dispatch report said.
The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries in the two-vehicle collision. Paramedics responded to help the injured person, but there are no further details about those injuries. They transported the rider by ambulance to a hospital.
Tow trucks removed both of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are piecing together what happened using evidence, measurements and witness statements. It’s unknown if there are any citations or charges pending.
