Vehicle Hits, Injures Deputy Near J Street
Oakdale, CA (April 3, 2022) – An Oakdale Police officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on South 5th Avenue.
On February 7, Monday, the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop in the area near J Street in Oakdale. The Oakdale Leader News reported a motorist made an unsafe turning movement and struck the officer.
According to the article published online, the motorcycle officer was heading south on South 5th Avenue. Authorities said a driver headed north on 5th veered left onto J Street and struck the motorcycle officer. The collision took place shortly after 2 p.m.

Emergency crews responded to the crash site and rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, paramedics decided to transport the injured Oakdale Police officer to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The name of the patient, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, the other driver appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the traffic crash on 5th Avenue in Oakdale.
