STOCKTON, Calif. (May 5, 2022) — A Stockton motorcycle crash happened early Thursday on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Eight Mile Road.

The major-injury collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the West Side Freeway (I-5) about 6:38 a.m. on May 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The bike was allegedly speeding when it moved to the right shoulder to pass other motorists. The motorcycle reportedly hit the back of a white work truck that was parked with its flashers on. The bike then crashed about 20 feet down an embankment.

Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the bike from the crash scene.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the motorcycle crash. Witnesses may contact the CHP.
