Motorcycle Rider Injured in Crash on 405 Freeway Near Westwood

Motorcyclist Hurt in Collision on 405 at Santa Monica Boulevard

WESTWOOD, Calif. (March 6, 2025) — A motorcycle and Volvo SUV were involved in a crash Thursday morning on the northbound 405 Freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard near Westwood.

The traffic accident happened at 8:19 a.m. on March 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a blue Volvo SUV and a black motorcycle were involved after colliding in the HOV lane.

Some good Samaritans stopped to help the injured motorcyclist move to the center median where they awaited paramedics and a tow truck.

It’s unknown if the rider was taken to the hospital or treated only at the scene.

Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle crash on the 405 Freeway near Westwood.
