Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Collision in Pacific Beach
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2023) — A motorcycle crash happened Thursday night on Lamont Street, roughly two blocks south of Pacific Beach Drive in San Diego.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on August 31st in the Pacific Beach area, according to Times of San Diego.
The 24-year-old motorcyclist riding a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja suffered major injuries in the crash involving a subcompact crossover SUV, according to the report.
Motorcycle Crash Lamont Street
The San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation. Authorities say the motorcycle rider was heading southbound on Lamont Street at high speed. The young man collided with the passenger side of a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek as it headed west on Fortuna Avenue.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured rider to a hospital for treatment of injuries to his arms, legs and his pelvis.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the Lamont Street motorcycle crash, but they do not suspect DUI.
