Motorcycle Rider Injured in Fresno Crash at Olive Avenue and Rowell Avenue

FRESNO, Calif. (May 26, 2026) — A motorcycle rider was critically injured on Memorial Day when he was struck by a car on East Olive Avenue in Fresno.
The Fresno Police Department responded to East Olive Avenue at North Rowell Avenue in Fresno where they located the injured motorcyclist on the ground.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured person to a nearby hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
Initially, the collision was reported as a hit and run after the driver walked away, but the motorist returned and cooperated with police and the investigation.
Detectives determined the driver of the passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Olive before the collision. The motorist reportedly turned left towards Rowell Avenue and directly into the path of the westbound motorcycle rider, causing the collision between the two vehicles.
There are no traffic lights or stop signs for motorists traveling on Olive Avenue. The circumstances and liability has not yet been determined.
