Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway in Riverside County
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (April 21, 2021) — A motorcycle and semi-truck crashed on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway today in Riverside County.
The crash happened about 6:46 a.m. on April 21st near Temescal Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle rider struck the big rig’s tire. Next, the truck hit the rider, the CHP report said.
Additionally, the bike and rider went down in the No. 1 lane of the freeway and the truck driver pulled over to the right shoulder.
Cal Fire Riverside sent paramedics to the crash scene where they found the rider conscious in the No. 3 lane. Police issued a SigAlert due to the collision about 6:52 a.m.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Investigators are seeking to determine liability for the motorcycle versus truck crash.
