Hayward, CA — (April 15, 2025) — A major injury crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a white Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV occurred Tuesday morning on southbound I-880 just south of West Tennyson Road, prompting an emergency response and causing traffic delays.

The collision was reported around 9:48 a.m. on April 15th, with CHP dispatch logs indicating the motorcyclist was down in the #1 lane and bleeding. The crash blocked multiple lanes, including the two right lanes, and left vehicles immobile on the roadway.

Eyewitnesses reported the rider of the Yamaha bike, described as a male with long hair, was lying on the ground following the impact. The Hayward Fire Department responded to the scene to help the injured man and transport him to a hospital.
