Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on Douglas Boulevard

Granite Bay, Calif. (June 2, 2025 — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a crash involving a BMW SUV on eastbound Douglas Boulevard near Granite Estates Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m., on June 2nd, when a white BMW SUV collided with a red and black 2015 Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle. Both vehicles reportedly came to rest blocking multiple lanes of traffic, prompting an emergency response and a temporary disruption to the afternoon commute.

South Placer Fire paramedics and CHP officers were dispatched to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. Details about the rider’s condition have not yet been released.

CHP logs show that Delta Tow removed the damaged motorcycle from the scene. A social worker was also contacted in connection with the injured party, and a CHP officer accompanied them to the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It’s unclear at this time whether speed, impairment, or distraction played a role in the incident.

Eastbound Douglas Boulevard experienced significant delays during the investigation and cleanup, but lanes were gradually cleared by late afternoon.
