Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-80 Freeway

ALBANY, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2024) — A motorcycle versus car accident happened Monday morning on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, just east of the Albany off ramp.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 7:26 a.m. on Feb. 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Nissan Altima and a motorcycle collided due to unknown circumstances in the westbound No. 1 lane of the I-80 Freeway.

Paramedics responded to help the injured motorcyclist, but there are no further details.

Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the bike from traffic lanes.

Traffic investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 80 Freeway in Albany.
