Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash with 2 Drivers on 580 Freeway
PLEASANTON, Calif. (May 25, 2018) – A pickup truck, Infiniti and a motorcyclist collided today on the Interstate 580 Freeway at San Ramon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported about 12:19 p.m. today in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway, just east of Schaefer Ranch. The motorcyclist was seriously hurt and unresponsive following the crash and the bike suffered major damage. The driver in the pickup truck called 911 to report that their vehicle was hit by the Infiniti and the Infiniti also struck the motorcycle.
Paramedics responded to help the rider and possibly others who were hurt in the crash.
It’s unknown exactly what led to the collision at this time. The cause remains under investigation by the CHP.
Alameda County Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, we do not know why the vehicles collided and whether or not one or more of the drivers are responsible for the crash.
