Motorcyclist, 22, Killed in Crash on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido
ESCONDIDO, Calif. — A 22-year-old Escondido man died after a single-motorcycle crash late Sunday night on San Pasqual Valley Road, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:48 p.m. on July 12 in the 1100 block of San Pasqual Valley Road.
Emergency personnel responded to reports of a solo motorcycle collision involving the rider, who was identified by the Medical Examiner as John Doe, 22, of Escondido. He was transported to Palomar Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m. on July 13.
Authorities have not released details about what caused the motorcycle to crash or whether speed, impairment, or other factors may have contributed to the collision.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal crash.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said the rider’s next of kin has been notified. The official cause and manner of death have not yet been released pending the completion of the investigation.
