Motorcyclist, 26, Victim in Deadly Crash

motorbike street night JAGCOMPTON, California (April 26, 2016) — A 26-year-old motorcycle rider was killed early Tuesday morning in a collision involving four other motorists on the Interstate 710 Long Beach Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash took place about 12:35 a.m. this morning near Rosecrans Avenue. The rider, who was identified as Carlos Torres of South Gate, died of his injuries at the scene of the crash. The report stated there were no other injuries sustained in the crash. Police are investigating what caused it and liability.

The crash temporarily closed down the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes, but they reopened about 5:30 a.m.
