Rider Collides with Minivan Turning into His Path
SAN DIEGO, California (May 13, 2016) – A traffic collision left a motorcyclist seriously injured in the Barrio Logan neighborhood on Friday morning, according to CBS 8 San Diego. (map)
The crash took place on Harbor Drive near Sicard Street around 5:40 a.m.
As per the article, San Diego police said the 50-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Harbor when a 2013 Dodge minivan pulled out of a dirt parking lot and began turning left across the lanes.
In the process the motorcyclist collided with the minivan.
The victim was then taken to the hospital to be treated for major, but non-life-threatening internal injuries and a broken leg. The name of the patient was not released.
Meanwhile, police added that the 52-year-old man driving the minivan at the time appeared to be unharmed. Alcohol did not play a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
