Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash with Truck in Milpitas on 880 Fwy
MILPITAS, Calif. (June 6, 2018) — A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning in a collision with a big rig truck on the southbound Interstate 880 Nimitz Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The collision was reported just before 10 a.m. this morning, just north of the Calaveras Boulevard. The vehicles were blocking several lanes after the crash between the bike and the back of the Kenworth truck. The rider suffered minor to moderate injuries and was treated at the scene. It’s unknown whether or not he or she was taken to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by police to determine liability.

Police are investigating this collision in an effort to determine who is at fault. At this time, we do not know what led to the crash and whether or not the big rig truck cut off the rider or veered into their lane.
