Camino Del Rio West, Rosecrans Street Crash
Police say a man riding a Triumph motorcycle was heading southbound on Camino Del Rio West prior to the collision. A 53-year-old woman driving a 2017 Lexus SUV was also traveling on the same street in the same direction. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man driving a 2005 Toyota Camry was heading northbound on Camino Del Rio West. The Toyota made a westbound turn onto Sports Arena Boulevard on a red traffic light. The car hit the motorcyclist in the intersection and the Lexus hit both the rider and the Toyota.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured motorcycle rider to a hospital where he was treated for a femur fracture and a tibia fracture. He is expected to survive.
The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
San Diego Crash Investigation
A full investigation into this collision will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting position, skid marks, and gouge marks.
We offer our prayers to the injured man in hopes of a full recovery.
