TEMECULA, California (May 29, 2015) — A motorcyclist was injured Friday afternoon in a collision with a pickup truck on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway at the checkpoint, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 3:16 p.m., CHP officers say a motorcyclist was hit by the white pickup truck and thrown onto the ground in the slow lane near his or her bike. The bike’s parts were scattered in the far right lanes and traffic was stopped due to the crash. Two other motorcycles stopped on the right shoulder to help.
Paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department responded to help the injured rider.
“Motorcyclists can suffer serious injuries in a crash with a heavy pickup truck,” said Attorney James Johnson. “I hope this rider gets the best care available for a full recovery.”
