Motorcycle, Car Crash 22 Freeway in Orange
ORANGE, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2018) — A motorcyclist collided with a pickup truck on the eastbound 22 Freeway.
The Yamaha R6 motorcycle rider was cut off by a driver in a Mercury Mariner as it merged out of the HOV lane and into the fast lane.
The motorcyclist tried to avoid colliding with the vehicle, but crashed into the back of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that had come to a stop in the center lane, the California Highway Patrol reports.
Orange Accident Investigation
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements, going over evidence left by the vehicle such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
