The collision took place about 5:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, west of Ramona Avenue.
CHP first logged the incident when a motorcycle was found down in the carpool lane after being struck by an unknown vehicle.
As per the dispatch, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to and transport the rider to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The name and the condition of the victim at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, another motorcycle and a vehicle were seen in the area where the accident occurred. It was not immediately clarified in the report if the two were also involved.
Authorities will continue to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
