Motorcycle Rider Hit by Semi-Truck
SACRAMENTO, California (August 4, 2016) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on southbound Highway 51 Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the accident when a motorcycle was struck by a semi-truck at 4:51 p.m. The crash took place just south of Arden Way on-ramp.
As per the incident log, the truck driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a white cab, with a white 53 feet enclosed trailer.
Meanwhile, the rider reportedly got in a vehicle at the scene owned by a witness and attempted to chase the operator of semi.
Sacramento Fire Department personnel were requested to attend to the motorcyclist who complained of pain to the leg. The name and condition of the victim at this time remained unknown.
Authorities will gather more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run suspect.
