Motorcyclist Injured in Fairfield Crash on I-80 Freeway, Suisun Parkway

Chevy Bolt, 3-Wheel Motorcycle Collide on I-80 in Fairfield

Fairfield, CA (April 30, 2025) — A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning in a traffic collision with a Chevrolet Bolt on westbound Interstate 80 just east of the Suisun Parkway off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 7:59 a.m. on April 30th when the black motorcycle collided with a black Chevy Bolt on the right-hand shoulder. The motorcyclist was found down on the roadside, however, the extent of their injuries was initially unknown.

CHP and Fairfield Fire Department units responded to the scene, with emergency medical personnel en route shortly after the crash was reported. The 3-wheel motorcycle, described as mangled and missing a wheel, was located in the center divider, according to Caltrans. A towing service was dispatched to the scene to remove the damaged bike.

Traffic was affected briefly as all right-hand lanes remained open during the investigation and cleanup. The Freeway Service Patrol later cleared the incident by 9:09 a.m.

Authorities have not yet released the identity or condition of the motorcyclist. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
