LOS ANGELES, California (July 2, 2016) —A motorcyclist was severely injured after he was struck by a 10-ton truck and trapped underneath Saturday morning at 11600 Wilshire Boulevard near San Vincente Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash took place about 8:36 a.m. this morning. Paramedics rushed him to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood for treatment. Authorities say the man’s helmet saved his life. It was badly damaged in the crash. Police closed down at least one traffic lane to allow for the rescue of the person in undisclosed condition. A full investigation into liability is underway by police.
