Man Dead in Bakersfield DUI Hit-and-Run Crash
BAKERSFIELD (August 27. 2017) – A an alleged hit-and-run crash killed a motorcyclist on Saturday night in the area of South Union Avenue and Adams Street, according to 23 ABC News.
The accident took place at around 9:30 p.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a man was riding a motorcycle north on South Union Avenue when at the same time a 40-year-old woman was driving a van south.
The driver of the van then made a left turn at Adams Street directly in front of the motorcycle. The rider ultimately collided with the passenger side of the vehicle.

The man suffered fatal injuries following the collision. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the woman did not stop and fled the scene. She was later found and taken into custody. Drugs and alcohol appeared to have played a role in the incident which remains under investigation.
