At precisely 8:58 p.m., an 18-year-old driver of a Honda Civic traveling north on Navajo Road crossed the double yellow lines and struck a motorcyclist head-on.
The male victim identified as Wesley Erickson, 52, of Riverside, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of paramedics.
The 18-year-old driver was injured in the wreck and hospitalized. He is expected to survive.
Per the Press-Enterprise, there was an arrest made but there was no confirmation whether the person arrested was the driver of the Honda or a passenger.
