The crash occurred at roughly 12:35 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 5 freeway near Osborne Street.
Preliminary investigations allude to the rider being struck by a vehicle causing the victim to go down directly into the path of a big rig, per the Daily News.
The victim, a male, suffered fatal injuries and did not survive.
While no other injuries were reported, the motorcyclist’s identity remains unknown at this time.
Per the Los Angeles Daily News, drivers on the 5 were diverted to the 118 freeway until the wreckage was cleared up approximately four hours later.
