Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck on Highway 99 in Stockton

Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision Near Arch Road Off-Ramp
STOCKTON, Calif. (July 5, 2025) — A motorcyclist was killed in a Stockton crash involving a semi-truck early Friday morning on southbound State Route 99 near the Arch Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 3:03 a.m. on July 4. CHP officers arriving at the scene found the motorcyclist down in the center divider and requested emergency medical assistance. However, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident involved a semi-truck and a motorcycle, with reports indicating that the motorcycle ended up pinned beneath the box truck. Tow trucks from J.E. Truck Services and Bob’s Tow were called to the scene to assist with the removal of both vehicles.
Initially, lanes 1 and 2 of the freeway were closed while emergency crews worked the scene, but lane 3 remained open. All lanes were fully reopened by 5:38 a.m., according to CHP logs.
No information has been released yet regarding the identity of the motorcyclist, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Fire personnel were reportedly not dispatched to the scene, and the Stockton Fire Department confirmed they did not respond.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the CHP Stockton office.
