Motorcyclist Killed in Fullerton Crash with Cybertruck on Orangethorpe Avenue
FULLERTON, Calif. (May 23, 2026) — A motorcyclist died Friday in a crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck in Fullerton at Orangethorpe Avenue and Gilbert Street.
The man was riding a brown Honda Navi motorcycle when a driver in a silver Tesla Cybertruck traveling westbound on West Orangethorpe Avenue turned left into his path to turn south onto North Gilbert Street.
The eastbound motorcyclist was unable to avoid hitting the massive truck and the two vehicles collided at around 3:27 p.m. on May 22nd, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
Police and paramedics responded and the injured motorcycle rider was taken to a local hospital where he later died from severe injuries.
Detectives working on the case do not yet know if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The man who died has not been identified, pending notification of his next of kin.
