Motorcycle Rider Killed in Adelanto Hit-and-run Crash

 Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run crash Palmdale Road in AdelantoADELANTO, Calif. (April 28, 2022) — A motorcyclist died Wednesday night following a hit-and-run crash on Palmdale Road in Adelanto.

The rider was critically injured in a collision with an SUV about 8:12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.

A driver in a silver 2014 Dodge Durango collided with the motorcycle on Palmdale Road between Jonathan Street and the Stater Bros shopping center.

San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the crash site. They requested a helicopter to airlift the critically-injured person to a hospital.

However, they had to perform CPR on the patient and instead used an ambulance to transport the rider to a local hospital.

The rider later died at the hospital. However, the driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident without helping the victim.

Meanwhile, CalTrans crews made a hard road closure of Palmdale Road.

Investigators are working on the fatal motorcycle accident and searching for the suspect.
