Motorcyclist Victim in Deadly Collision With Honda Civic
LOCATION: Santa Rosa
DATE OF COLLISION: Saturday, October 20th
October 22, 2018- According to the Press Democrat, a deadly collision left a motorcyclist fatally injured over the weekend on Highway 12 near Indian Creek Drive.
According to Santa Rosa police officials, the collision occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. between a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2015 Honda Civic.
Preliminary investigations have indicated that the motorcyclist who has only been ID’d as a male had been traveling eastbound on Highway 12. As the rider continued down Highway 12, an unidentified driver in the Honda pulled out in front of the motorcyclist directly into its path triggering a collision.
According to reports, the driver of the Honda stated that they simply never saw the motorcycle.
Victim Succumbs to Injuries at Hospital
The collision left the unidentified victim with major injuries for which he was rushed to a trauma center for. It was there where he tragically was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Per the Press Democrat, neither the driver of the Civic or its passenger suffered any injuries following the accident.
At this time, Santa Rosa police officials are looking into whether drugs or alcohol played a role as those details have not been disclosed.
