TUSTIN, California (October 6, 2016) — Matthew Limas, 23, of Whittier was killed Thursday morning in a collision between his 2016 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a white truck on the southbound Interstate 5 Santa Ana Freeway at the Jamboree Road on ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal crash took place in the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the freeway about 6:58 a.m. this morning. One report stated the motorcycle rider struck a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck that had stopped due to traffic. The impact threw Limas off the bike and into the roadway where he died of his injuries.
