LOS ANGELES, California (May 12, 2016) — A motorcycle rider died Thursday afternoon in a collision with a driver at the intersection of Gate and Hooper avenues, a Los Angeles County Fire Department report said.
The crash took place about 3 p.m. today in the Florence-Firestone community. The California Highway Patrol and LAFD personnel responded to help those involved, but the rider died at the scene.
A full investigation is underway to determine liability. The rider was identified by the Los Angeles coroner as Richard Magana, 53, of Los Angeles.
