FRESNO, California (May 17, 2016) — A motorcyclist suffered major injuries Tuesday morning when he crashed into the back of a vehicle on the westbound State Route 180 Freeway, just west of Chestnut Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 10:03 a.m. this morning. The rider was in the center divider of the freeway following the crash. Police and paramedics responded to help those involved and the rider was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating what led to the crash and liability.
“Many riders are hurt when they are cut off by a larger vehicle changing lanes,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Police will question those involved as well as witnesses to find out who is at fault.”
