CHICO, California (June 12, 2014) – A motorcyclist suffered major injuries in a crash with a car on Highway 95 at Mile Marker 175, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
About 6:56 a.m., CHP officers in Clear Lake say a motorcyclists collided with a Ford Probe and was ejected in the crash. The driver of the car called 911 and told police the motorcyclist “flew over the vehicle.” The Ford had major front-end damage and was blocking the roadway.
California Department of Fire responded with paramedics to the scene of the crash and the injured rider was air-lifted by helicopter to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
“Hopefully this rider has a full recovery,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Police must fully investigate this crash to determine liability. It appears as though the car may have struck the rider as there is significant front-end damage to this vehicle, but that will be determined when the police report is completed.”
