Mountain View Crash Highway 85 and Evelyn Avenue (Feb. 19)

3-Vehicle Collision on SR-85 in Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2025) — A major injury crash in Mountain View happened Wednesday morning on Highway 85 at the Evelyn Avenue off ramp.

The three-vehicle collision occurred on northbound SR-85 at around 5:36 a.m. on Feb. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials issued a SigAlert after the drivers collided and blocked the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the freeway. One vehicle wound up facing the wrong direction in the center divider.

Someone called 911 to request paramedics and reported one person was on the ground and unresponsive. Paramedics arrived and transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital in Stanford, but there are no further details.

Tow trucks removed all three vehicles from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the Mountain View crash on Highway 85.
