1 Seriously Injured in Mountain View Crash on Highway 101 Near Old Middlefield
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (March 14, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 near Old Middlefield Way in Mountain View.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:10 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles, including a motorcycle, collided for an unknown reason in Mountain View. They crashed on northbound Highway 101, just south of Old Middlefield Way.
Motorcycle, Cars Collide
The incident log described two of the cars as a Honda Accord and a pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the Honda with major side damage.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to the Stanford Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the Mountain View crash is still under investigation.
