Major Injury Collision Near Old Middlefield Way Offramp Monday
Mountain View, CA (March 14, 2022) – A traffic accident involving a motorcycle rider occurred Monday evening on U.S. Highway 101, also known as Bayshore Freeway, in Mountain View.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the motorcyclist collided with a truck in the northbound side of the highway. Earlier reports indicated the crash took place in the area near Old Middlefield Way offramp.
CHP logged the incident at about 5:08 p.m.
Motorcyclist Badly Hurt in Crash on Highway 101 in Mountain View
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found the motorcyclist with major injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim. Shortly after, an ambulance arrived and transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The occupants in the truck appeared unharmed after the accident.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the crash on Highway 101 in Mountain View.
