2 Pinned in Car, At Least 1 Seriously Hurt
MT. SHASTA, California (July 15, 2016) – A major injury collision was reported on Castle Lake Road Friday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP received a report about a black colored Volkswagen which slammed into a tree about 9:20 p.m. Two people were trapped inside the vehicle following the crash.
As per the dispatch, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to extricate the pinned occupants from the car. At least one person was confirmed to have been seriously hurt in the wreck.
Two air ambulances were requested to transport the victims to the hospital for further treatment. The names and condition of the patients were not available.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
