3 Injured in Crash Involving a Bus, Train and Vehicle
SUN VALLEY, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2017) — Three people were hospitalized early Monday morning when an MTA bus and vehicle collided and the bus was struck by a Union Pacific train.
The crash took place about 1:45 a.m. in the 8200 block of North San Fernando Road. The MTA bus and vehicle collided and the bus went onto the train tracks where it was hit by the oncoming train.
One person was critically injured in the crash, a 25-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a fourth person was hurt, but not hospitalized.
A full investigation into liability is underway by police. A person who is injured in a collision such as this one may pursue a compensation against multiple parties for their financial losses including the bus company, the train operator and other motorists involved.
