Multi-Vehicle Bakersfield Crash Highway 58, State Route 99

Two Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision on Highway 58

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 19, 2024) — A multi-vehicle Bakersfield crash happened Friday morning on Highway 58, just east of Highway 99 in Kern County.

The traffic accident occurred at around 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 19th between a black Dodge Durango, a black Kia Sorrento SUV and a white semi-truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported one of the SUVs was blocking the westbound slow lane and a motorhome crashed into it and the other vehicles. Paramedics responded to help at least two people who were hurt.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Bakersfield crash on Highway 58.
