Pileup Crash on State Route 99
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (July 13, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Bakersfield crash happened Thursday on Highway 99, just south of White Lane.
The collision occurred around 5:42 a.m. on July 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported roughly five vehicles were involved in the initial collision, but a second collision involving at least two or three more was discovered following the first one.
It’s unknown what led up to the pileup crash involving minor injuries. Paramedics responded to help at least one person hurt in the traffic accident.
Tow trucks removed many of the vehicles from the roadway, but there are no further details about the vehicle or drivers involved.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Bakersfield crash on Highway 99.
