Multi-Vehicle Crash Blocks Lanes on Artesia Freeway in Bellflower
Bellflower, CA (March 7, 2025) — A multi-vehicle collision occurred early Friday morning on the eastbound Artesia Freeway (SR-91), near Lakewood Boulevard in Bellflower.
The five-vehicle crash was reported around 6:30 AM on March 7th, and caused significant traffic disruptions, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a black BMW, and a black Toyota Camry, were among the vehicles involved. Several vehicles were blocking the lanes, including the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane and the first two main lanes of traffic. At least one vehicle was reported to be facing sideways, and airbags were deployed in some of the involved cars.
First responders, including CHP officers and fire units, quickly arrived on the scene, and lanes were gradually cleared. The incident also required multiple tow trucks, including Vernola’s Towing, to assist with removing the damaged vehicles.
No fatalities were reported, but the crash caused significant traffic delays. All lanes were eventually reopened, and by 7:25 AM, traffic was moving again. CHP and local fire authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and expect potential delays during the morning commute.
