High-Speed Crash on I-405 Freeway in Westminster
WESTMINSTER, Calif. (June 17, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Monday evening in Westminster on the Interstate 405 Freeway near Valley View Street.
The traffic accident occurred at around 8:22 PM on Monday June 17th in Orange County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The high-speed crash involved a white Porsche, a white BMW, and three other unknown vehicles. It was reported that the Porsche collided into two other sport cars, then a white BMW due to the initial collision ran into a pole. The Porsche ended up in the slow lane becoming a major traffic hazard. In addition, smoke was coming out of the vehicle. The Porsche had a female passenger who was passed out in the drivers seat. CHP also reported that a male, was laying in front of the damaged Porsche, and a party involved, was also reported unconscious.
Paramedics responded and located those injured in the car accident and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident on Interstate 405 Freeway, near Valley View Street.
