Multi-Vehicle Car Accident Interstate 680, Sycamore Valley Road
People Fleeing the Scene of Accident
DANVILLE, Calif. (July 10, 2024) — A three-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on the Interstate 680 near Sycamore Valley Road in Contra Costa County
The traffic accident occurred at around 3:38PM on July 10th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicles were reported to be blocking lane one of the highway. One of the vehicles involved was a white Tesla. A black and grey sedan along with a Volkswagen Jetta were also involved. All passengers were seen to be out of the vehicles. Two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female were seen walking northbound on the highway. They hopped the center divide into the southbound side of the freeway, possibly fleeing the traffic collision.
Paramedics responded and located those who may have been injured and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries at this time.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident on Interstate 680 near Sycamore Valley Road.
