Multi-Vehicle Crash on Scripps Poway Parkway in Poway
POWAY, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2022) — A major injury car accident on state Route 67 happened Thursday morning at Scripps Poway Parkway in Poway.
The collision, involving four or five vehicles, occurred about 6:31 a.m. on Oct. 20th, at Rio Maria Road, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, a gray Honda Element, a gray Toyota Scion and two other vehicles are involved. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision in the northbound lanes of State Route Highway 67. Police issued a SigAlert as several lanes are blocked by vehicles.
Paramedics responded to help multiple people with injuries, including at least one person with major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed four of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
