3-Vehicle Car Accident on I-405 in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (July 26, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway happened Wednesday morning, just north of Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa.
The 3-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of the I-405 at 6:54 a.m. on July 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported the Nos. 1, 2 and HOV lanes were blocked by vehicles.
The drivers of a red or maroon Tesla, a grey Dodge pickup truck, and an FSP truck were involved. Two other vehicles also stopped following the collision.
Paramedics were dispatched to the freeway to help anyone hurt in the accident, but there are no further details.
Also, tow trucks removed at least two of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Finally, police are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa.
