Rollover Crash Involving Big Rig Truck on 605 Freeway

BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (Dec. 29, 2023) — A car overturned in a multi-vehicle crash on the Interstate 605 Freeway, just north of Lower Azusa Road in Baldwin Park.

The collision occurred on the southbound I-605 at around 8:33 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a tan or gold Nissan Sentra collided with a big rig truck and overturned multiple times across several traffic lanes. The vehicle may have also collided with two other motorists before it came to rest in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes. The driver was able to climb out of the overturned car and walk to safety.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Fire Department sent firefighters and paramedics to the scene to help anyone hurt in the crash.

The Nissan was towed from the roadway, but it’s unknown if other vehicles were badly damaged or not at this time.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 605 Freeway in Baldwin Park.
