Multi-Vehicle Crash 605 Freeway, Slauson Avenue in Santa Fe Springs (8/13)

One Injured in Collision on I-605 in Santa Fe Springs
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (August 13, 2025) — A multi-vehicle Santa Fe Springs crash early Tuesday caused major traffic delays on the southbound 605 Freeway just south of Slauson Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The traffic accident occurred on August 13th around 5:37 a.m., and it involved a white Chrysler Pacifica Voyager, a blue Alfa Romeo, a gray Honda, and a white Dodge Durango. The driver of the Alfa Romeo reported possible broken ribs and was found outside his vehicle as traffic continued moving through the area.
Several other vehicles may have been involved, CHP logs indicate. At one point, the Alfa Romeo and the Dodge Durango were both blocking the HOV lane, with the crash also affecting the No. 1 lane.
The Santa Fe Springs Fire Department responded to the scene, and at least one person was transported for medical treatment. A tow truck was requested to clear the damaged vehicles, and all lanes were eventually reopened by around 7 a.m.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
