Major Crash on U.S. 101 Near Faria Beach
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (March 14, 2022) — A minor-injury crash happened Monday morning on the northbound U.S. 101 Freeway near the Padre Juan Canyon Road overcrossing at Faria Beach.
The four-vehicle crash happened about 6:05 a.m. in the slow and middle lanes on March 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report stated that a driver rear-ended a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on the freeway. The crash apparently set off a multi-vehicle collision involving at least four vehicles with three suffer major damage all over, the report said.
At least one person reported injuries in the collision on U.S. 101 in the Faria Beach area. The Ventura County Fire Department responded to treat and transport those who were hurt.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove at least four of the vehicles including the pickup truck and a red Nissan E21.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the collision.
